Marketing
Campus Ambassador
Are you an outgoing person at your school? Do you maintain an upbeat and positive attitude in most situations? Campus Ambassadors are the on-campus face of our clients such as Gopuff, Head & Shoulders, SmileDirectClub, and a variety of other clients! If you love being put to the test and have strong communication skills, with a natural sense of curiosity, this position would be perfect for you!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive relationship with the Client by picking up, sorting, and storing promotional materials.
- Engage with students on campus to promote the Client through various field marketing and guerilla marketing events.
- Communicate consistently, proactively, and in a detail-oriented manner with your Field Marketing Manager based in Chicago, IL.
- Submit photos and written feedback reports after each event directly to the Client.
- Adhere to a weekly schedule with your teammate(s) and collectively meet deadlines.
Time Commitment:
6-10 hours per week.
Requirements:
- Must be a college student living within driving distance of your campus.
- Must have a cell phone capable of taking photos with active location services.
- Willing to engage with both clients and students on campus.
- Reliable transportation.
- Legally allowed to work in the U.S.
Compensation:

Field Marketing Manager
Are you an enthusiastic and optimistic people-person who gets the job done by working with others? If so, you need to join our field marketing team! As a Field Marketing Manager, your job is to put your best foot forward in representing The Black Sheep’s clients while carrying out field marketing tasks on and around your campus.
Responsibilities:
• Pick up materials on a weekly basis from local clients near campus.
• Distribute marketing materials to students on campus during weekly marketing events.
• Take 20 pictures during each event that shows a “360” of the event, start to finish.
• Provide feedback and simple data, such as date, time, and location of the events you and your partner complete on a weekly basis.
• Keep in constant communication with your direct supervisor, a National Marketing Manager, based in Chicago, IL.
Time Commitment:
• 5-15 hours a week during an active campaign.
Requirements:
• Strong communication skills.
• Proactive and creative problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of campus events, high traffic areas, and ideal marketing opportunities
• Outgoing personality.
• Legally allowed to work in the U.S.
Compensation:
• $50 per event

Micro Influencer
Do you love posting on Instagram or setting up photoshoots with friends? Does getting paid for your creative content excite you? We are looking for exceptional Micro Influencers with a following of 2,500+, who actively post and receive strong engagement on Instagram. The Micro Influencer program is a great opportunity to grow your following and enhance your brand. You will get the chance to use your Instagram profile to create content for housing companies on your campus and a variety of national brands.
We have worked with brands like Dominos, goPuff, Smile Direct Club and Tide Laundry. If social media, creative freedom, and getting paid to post sounds like something that interests you, then this is the job for you!
Responsibilities:
• Post approved content on schedule.
• Strong communication with your National Influencer Manager.
• Submit post insights and analytics on time for payment.
Time Commitment:
• A couple of hours per month to get your pictures taken.
• About an hour a week to edit, submit for approval, post, and submit for payment.
Requirements:
• 2,500+ Instagram followers.
• 10% or more engagement rate.
• Experience with brands or social content creation.
• Willing to be a public profile during the campaign.
• Willing to turn profile into a Creator Profile.
• Legally allowed to work in the U.S.
Compensation:
• $50 per post via direct deposit through a Stripe account.
• If a client asks for you to repost the content on your story, it will be an additional $15.
• For brand deals, you may receive a free product to post with as well as pay.

Time Commitment:
• Must be on or near campus, for the duration of the campaign.
• Profile must be public for the duration of the campaign.

Social Media Manager

If so, then we don’t just WANT you manning our feeds, we NEED you manning our feeds! Whether you’d like to come aboard your school’s local Black Sheep team or help us start a branch at your campus, join The Black Sheep as a Social Media Manager! You will manage, promote and grow your school’s The Black Sheep branch social platforms by overseeing a small team of Social Media Contributors whose primary focus will be on creating the digital microcontent that students know and love.
Responsibilities:
• Attend and lead weekly The Black Sheep meetings on campus.
• Grow and maintain an Instagram and Twitter.
• Recruit and oversee a team of Social Media Contributors.
• Overtime, recruit and oversee a Video Production Manager and their team of Video Team Members.
Time Commitment:
• 5-10 hours per week.
Requirements:
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• A great sense of humor and awareness of both internet and local trends.
• A phone capable of image editing apps, content scheduling apps.
• Willing to cover the responsibilities of their social or video team should there be a shortage of staff.
• Legally allowed to work in the U.S.

• Attend one weekly all-staff meeting prepared with potential content topics and ideas.
• Grow and maintain the assigned Twitter or Instagram.
• Be ready and willing to live tweet popular events such as football or basketball games.
Time Commitment:
• 3-6 hours per week.
Requirements:
• A great sense of humor and awareness of both local and internet trends.
• A phone capable of light image editing apps, content scheduling apps.
• Strong finger on the pulse of their student community.
• Ability to be an enthusiastic team player and to take on tasks as necessary.

Video Production Manager
Do you think videography is a great way to see who people really are? Do you have great ideas for funny videos, and want to manage a team of like-minded individuals to make them happen? Join The Black Sheep as a Video Production Manager. You will be asked to collaborate with our Digital Marketing Strategist from our corporate office to outline and execute a video production schedule that sees new campus-focused videos released in bi-monthly cycles, from planning, to shooting, to editing, and distribution of the video.
Responsibilities:
• Attend local weekly meeting with the rest of The Black Sheep.
• Production of locally shot 5-minute on the street, interview style videos on a bi-monthly cycle.
• Edit video based on feedback from our Digital Marketing Strategist.
• Submission of final draft of video by established deadline.
• Use social media to share published videos.
• Help recruit new members to the video team.
• Weekly phone conversations with our Digital Marketing Strategist based out of corporate offices in Chicago, IL.
Time Commitment:
• 3-4 hours per week.
Requirements:
• Access to or ability to rent video shooting equipment.
• Strong management skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable front-of-camera presence.
• iMovie or Windows Movie Maker is adequate, but Final Cut or Adobe Premiere is preferred.

• Video specific skill set: Videographer or video editing experience.
• Comfortable front-of-camera presence.

Student Data Collector
Are you a detail-driven student constantly striving for accuracy and improvement? Do you love taking notes in class, making sure you get every possible bit of information you can? Are you interested in giving feedback to local businesses? If so, The Black Sheep is looking for someone to collect information about local businesses, and you would be perfect for this job!
Responsibilities:
• Review housing properties by request of owners to make sure their customer service and training are all up to speed.
• Visit specific properties to make sure all staff treats students the way they’d treat their managers and visiting parents.
• Submit online inquiries to test each property’s online response time and customer service.
• Call each property to ensure they have been properly trained on how to handle student inquiries over the phone.
• Live chat on the property’s website to ensure a speedy and convenient experience.
• Enter collected data and required photos into the proper feedback forms.
Time Commitment:
Maximum 3 hours per property.

• High attention to detail and surroundings.
• Proactive and creative problem solving skills.
